BLUE LODGE

The Blue Lodge is the foundation of Freemasonry, conferring the three degrees common to every Mason worldwide: Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason. Sometimes called Craft or Symbolic Masonry, it is the root from which all appendant bodies, including the Scottish Rite, extend. A man must first become a Master Mason in the Blue Lodge before he is eligible to petition the Scottish Rite.
